Seasonal Information

Summer: Hallmarks are warm days (averaging 80 degrees) and cool nights, at an elevation of about 4800 feet.

Autumn: Boasts magnificent fall colors, cool sunny days, and cooler nights, often punctuated by elk bugling, ringing across the meadows and through the clear mountain air. Fall big-game hunting here in the Bitterroots is excellent and unsurpassed.

Winter: Snowmobile riding, downhill and cross country skiing are all outstanding.

Spring: Begins the yearly cycle of warmer sun-filled days, melting snow, green grass and wildflowers beginning to show as the winter snows recede.

Suggestions: SHOP FOR YOUR FOOD, ETC. before you arrive at the cabin. Nearest town is a 30 minute drive. Bring appropriate seasonal clothing; if in doubt, call us. DON'T FORGET your cameras and/or video cams & binoculars!
